What happens if a customer does not come?
You keep the deposit. Mark the booking "Didn't come" in your diary so you know who it was next time.
What if I have to cancel?
Cancel it in your diary and the customer gets a WhatsApp message from you straight away. If they paid a deposit, send it back to them on M-Pesa; the diary shows you how much and to which number.
Can I take bookings without a deposit?
Yes. Set the deposit to 0 and the booking is confirmed straight away. The customer pays everything at the shop.
Does the deposit count towards the price?
Yes. If braids cost KSh 4,500 and the deposit is KSh 500, the customer pays KSh 4,000 at the shop. Their booking page and their WhatsApp message say so.
When does the deposit reach me?
Two days after the customer pays, to your M-Pesa number, your till or your bank account. A payout that would fall on a Saturday or Sunday comes on Monday.
Do I need to sell products as well?
No. Your duka.bio page can be only bookings. If you also sell products, like hair or oils, they sit on the same page.
Do the WhatsApp messages need anything?
Connect your WhatsApp in Settings once, by scanning a code like WhatsApp Web. The messages then go from your own number.
