What does it cost to sell tickets?
Nothing to set up, on any plan. On each ticket sold there is the 1.5% payment fee as the money comes in. We never take a cut, and paying it out to you is free.
When do I get the money?
Two days after each buyer pays, to your M-Pesa number, your till or your bank account. A payout that would fall on a Saturday or Sunday comes on Monday. You do not have to wait for the event to end.
How do people get their tickets?
Straight after paying, on the page they bought from, with a QR code for each ticket. If your WhatsApp is connected, they also get them on WhatsApp from your number.
Can one person buy for a group?
Yes, up to 10 tickets in one payment. Each ticket gets its own QR code, so friends can come in one by one.
What stops people sharing a screenshot?
Each code lets one person in. When the same code is scanned a second time, your phone says it was already used, and at what time.
Do I need a scanner at the gate?
No. On an Android phone, open check-in in Chrome and point the camera at the ticket. On any other phone, type the code from the ticket.
What if I have to cancel the event?
Mark it cancelled and the event page says so. Refunds to buyers are up to you as the organiser; the guest list has every buyer's phone number.
